Multiple Mercedes Benz models are being recalled due to improperly bolted seat belts that could fail during a crash. SLK models have a problem with misaligned headlights. Mercedes says it’s possible the driver could be confused and believe the shutdown was planned due to the start/stop function. No matter what a driver may think, the car shutting down from simply applying the brakes could be a serious safety hazard.
Mercedes-Benz says the recalled 2016 GLE450 AMG 4Matic Coupes were built December 10, 2014, to June 6, 2016.
