Mercedes and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been in partnership for over a decade now, and it seems there is no plan to break ties. The Buccaneers have 500 exclusive premium Mercedes seats and of them almost all have already sold out.

The exclusive Mercedes seats offer the best experience of the game in stadium just as Mercedes intends to offer the best ride of all for its owners.

 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay area Mercedes-Benz dealers announced today an extension of their partnership, which is highlighted by the addition of naming rights to the all-new Hall of Fame Club at Raymond James Stadium. All of the nearly 500 seats have already sold out for the 2016 season, however, the team has established a waiting list for interested prospects.

The Mercedes-Benz Hall of Fame Club is one of two premium seating concepts featuring all-inclusive food and beverage options, air-conditioned comfort and some of the best views of the game action.

You may not have heard of it, but Mercedes-Benz currently produces an electric vehicle, the B-Class Electric Drive. It exists as a competitor to BMW’s i3, and it’s shaped more like a crossover than a car. Now, it’s even cheaper, undercutting the competition by a few thousand bucks.

The B-Class Electric Drive just dropped to $39,900. Previously, it came in at $41,450, just under the BMW i3’s starting price of $42,400. (These figures don’t account for federal or local incentives.) Mercedes Hybrid F1 Delivers 1000bhp

Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Hybrid Getting Crazy Powerful

Mercedes F1 racing has been drawing many skeptical gazes as it transitions to use a hybrid engine. But does the auto giant have what it takes to prove the competition wrong?

As far as testing goes, it seems the Electrical aspect of the hybrid engines is capable of adding almost 200 bhp on top of the fossil fuel engine. Perhaps this F1 racer is a step ahead of its time, but it’s a step toward future efficiency and being ahead of the rest when it comes to fuel efficient engines.

 

But one area where they do not fall short is in the power stakes, with them pumping out much more horsepower than the V8 power units that they replaced.

They easily charged past the 900bhp figure, and there are now indications that the benchmark engine produced by Mercedes is giving out as much as 1000bhp during qualifying laps.

Of course, the figure will not be confirmed, with the technicians led by Andy Cowell at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains obviously keeping details about its state-of-the-art engine a secret.

However, sources with good knowledge of the situation suggest that the latest specification Mercedes engine that was introduced at the Belgian Grand Prix is producing 980bhp. Continue Reading

All-Terrain E-Class Debuted

New Mercedes Off-Roading E-Class

Mercedes has released yet another new model, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain which dares to do the unthinkable and take a luxury brand car off road or on the highway, or wherever life would take you. This relatively conservative looking off-roader has jacked up suspension and 4Matic all-wheel drive giving it the power to go wherever you’d need a Benz to go, and then some.

 

Joining Volvo’s new V90 Cross Country in the crossover-flavored, executive estate segment, is Mercedes-Benz’s E-Class All-Terain, teased here just a few hours ahead of its online reveal, which will be followed by a world premiere in Paris next week.

The video shows the All-Terrain’s plastic body cladding, which may (or may not) come in handy if any drivers decide to leave the safety of the road and head on to a short off-road adventure, helped by a generous ride height, adjustable air suspension and 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

Remember, the point to driving any of these or another nice vehicle is to leave an impression without bragging. That being the case, keep these 5 tips in mind:

1. Don’t ever say the type of vehicle you’re driving unless directly asked.

3. Keep your music on but only loud enough to be noticeable.
4. Always drive safe. You don’t need to show off how powerful the car is, they already know. Anyway, a smooth ride is generally preferable to a stop-and-go, jerky one.
5. Don’t ask your client whether or not they liked the ride, just assume they did.

Don’t have the kind of cash that one of these cars would require, you can leave a similar impression with a nice older Mercedes-Benz as long as the interior is clean and you keep it tuned up.

Mercedes Delves Deeper into Electric Service Vehicles with eTruck

While we were all expecting a bit of a lull in the releases and demos while time crept up on the Paris Auto Show, Mercedes is still at it in full force, this time releasing their eTruck which is intended for commercial purposes in the near future where combustion engines may be banned due to emissions.

It seems everything is going Electric at Mercedes as nearly every new model Mercedes has shown off this year is focusing on a gasless future.

 

Before the Paris Auto Show opens its doors, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its innovative Urban eTruck.

Powered solely by electricity, the Urban eTruck provides a glimpse forward into the future of the truck industry, particularly in large cities where vehicles with internal combustion engines may soon be banned or heavily restricted.

Power for the eTruck comes courtesy of one high-speed asynchronous three-phase electric motor on each side. All up, the two motors deliver 250 kW (339 hp) and more importantly, 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. The battery packs takes the form of three individual lithium-ion modules combining for a total capacity of 212 kWh. Continue Reading

Mercedes-Benz Truck Spotted During Road Test

Brand New Mercedes Truck Caught On Film

The first sighting of the first-ever Mercedes-Benz pickup truck has finally come with a YouTube video from walkoART who managed to take some sweet footage of the camo textured Mercedes Benz and upload it online for us to see.

If you wanted anything like a Mercedes pickup before, you’d have to do some serious suspension overhaul on their SUVs, what a wonderful time to be alive.

 

We’ve known about Mercedes-Benz’s first-ever pickup truck for over a year, but until now, we haven’t seen a prototype. That changes today though, because a heavily camouflaged pickup has been captured on public roads in Germany. The truck is rumored to debut by the end of this year, so it’s likely production-ready at this point.

The video of the truck, rumored to be called the GLT, comes to us from YouTuber walkoART – Videos, who features spy shots of various Mercedes-Benz prototypes on their channel.

Even under heavy covering, you can pretty clearly see a Metris-esque front facia. Otherwise, the truck looks not unlike the new Honda Ridgeline. Continue Reading

Mercedes Teams Up With Matternet to Give Us Future of Delivery

One Step Closer to Our Robot Overlords

The Auto-titan and tech startup have teamed up to deliver a concept van that they’ve called the Vision Van. The Vision Van combines self driving technology with completely electric motors and roof mounted delivery drones to guarantee a package could get to any location with 12 miles of a drivable road.

The latest company leaping into the delivery-by-drone business has long been known for performance vehicles of an entirely different sort.

Mercedes-Benz DAI, +1.74% on Wednesday revealed a concept car that can automatically deploy delivery drones, developed in partnership with drone-delivery startup Matternet, in which Mercedes announced what it labeled a multimillion-dollar investment. A Wall Street Journal report valued the investment at $562.7 million.

Called the Vision Van, the concept car itself, should it ultimately reach market, would require a human driver — but the vehicle’s drone is foreseen executing deliveries at the same time as the driver conducts others. It might also provide a measure of relief from such longstanding delivery impediments as dangerous and overcrowded roadways, though at least in the U.S., Federal Aviation Administration rules currently stipulate that drones cannot fly beyond an operator’s line of sight without a waiver.
